Greetings!

I wanted you to be among the first to know that I have just launched a new blog, which can be accessed at http://self-insuranceworld.blogspot.com.

The editorial concept is to provide original reporting and commentary on legislative/regulatory developments affecting the self-insurance/alternative risk transfer industry. As such, it will be a bit edgier than most other informational sources and will serve to compliment the more objective reporting normally provided by SIIA. The blog will also allow for readers to post comments, so I hope to receive feedback (I think?!).

Featured posts this week include an article explaining why the IRS is confusing stop-loss insurance with health insurance. There is also a commentary talking about insurance commissioner changes in two captive domiciles. I plan to update the blog weekly, so please check back on regular basis to see what’s new. An article is currently in the works of particular interest to workers’ compensation self-insurers that you will not see anywhere else.

And so the experiment begins…
