Health Reform Comparisons Now Reflect House Bill As Passed Saturday

This article, from the Kaiser Family Foundation, was brought to our attention from Attorney Doug Aldeen of The Phia Group

The Foundation has updated its health reform resources to reflect provisions of the Affordable Health Care for America Act (HR 3962) as passed on Saturday by the U.S. House of Representatives. The updated resources include:

 • The Foundation’s interactive side-by-side health reform comparison tool http://smtp01.kff.org/t/5289/340835/3794/0/

• Separate summaries of the bill’s Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program provisions http://smtp01.kff.org/t/5289/340835/1266/0/

• Medicare provisions http://smtp01.kff.org/t/5289/340835/3275/0/

• An outline of the ongoing process that Congress must follow as it works to complete and enact a health reform bill http://smtp01.kff.org/t/5289/340835/5197/0/

All of these resources will be updated as soon as possible to reflect a combined Senate bill expected to be released by the Senate leadership for consideration by the full body. The Foundation also will make other updates as needed to reflect any amendments or other changes in the pending legislation before Congress.

These resources are all available on the Foundation’s health reform gateway page  http://smtp01.kff.org/t/5289/340835/612/0/, which also features the Foundation’s research, analysis and polling on health reform issues; an interactive calculator which helps to illustrate what assistance people would get with their insurance premiums if they purchase coverage on their own through an exchange or gateway; columns by Kaiser President and CEO Drew Altman; and news summaries from Kaiser Health News, an editorially independent news service established by the Foundation.
